Cwpan Ceredigion - Pencader 2 v 3 Felinfach

Felinfach upset the apple cart against in form Pencader and inflicted their first home defeat of the season with a 3-2 victory in this Ceredigion Cup 1st round encounter. Despite a number of 1st team regulars being unavailable for this game they thoroughly deserved their win after going 3-0 up after 55 minutes of the game through goals from a corner and a cross for Sion Jones (2) and a first ever 1st team goal from Jordan Walker who nodded home a Sion Jones cross from the right after good work from Richard Thomas.

Rob Jones, who along with Jordan, had been promoted to the side from the Reserves for this game then came off after 60 minutes after an excellent performance in the heart of the defence. Felinfach then relaxed a little too much in the last 25 minutes and Pencader ensured there were an anxious last few minutes for the Felinfach side with goals after 70 and 80 minutes.

Felinfach held firm though to book their place in the next round at home against Llanybydder and will be delighted to have come away victorious in this difficult Ceredigion Cup tie.
